The certified athletic trainer (ATC) is a healthcare professional that collaborates with physicians to provide care to a wide range of populations. To earn certification, ATCs must first graduate from an athletic training degree program accredited* by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, as North Park is. During your final semester, you’ll be eligible to take the Board of Certification national exam.
North Park's first-attempt passing rate for the BOC exam is 69%, and the overall passing rate for graduates from North Park's ATEP is 86% (percentages are three-year aggregates). View the outcomes of our recently graduated students.
*The program has been placed on probation as of February 19, 2016 by the CAATE, 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101. We are admitting students and students are eligible to sit for the BOC exam.
