Foundational Courses Certificate
The certificate in foundational courses is designed for students who are starting seminary studies while in the process of credentialing with the Evangelical Covenant Church. This 12-credit certificate can help you determine whether to continue with credentialing requirements or to fulfill them after earning advanced degrees in other specialized fields.
Providing a solid foundation for any seminary degree, this certificate offers a direct and effective pathway to beginning a master’s program at North Park Theological Seminary—especially if you’re interested in serving in the Evangelical Covenant Church.
You’ll learn from scholars who are invested in their students’ success, and alongside women and men from all Seminary programs. The courses in this certificate are all offered online, as intensive hybrid courses at regional sites across the country, or in a traditional classroom setting in Chicago. Gain a thorough grounding in biblical study with a focus on vocation and practical experience, preparing you for a variety of potential ministry and service options.
