Community Life

At North Park Theological Seminary, we prepare you to answer your call to ministry not only through our academic curriculum, but with the spiritual and practical formation that comes with participating in the community here. We want to help you develop habits for your own life—study, prayer, reading, health, fellowship—while also walking alongside others having a similar experience. In this community, you’ll have the opportunity to incorporate what you’re learning into all of who you are so you not only become a “smarter” theologian, but also continue your development as a person who lives out the gospel.

As a community of students, faculty, staff, and families, we value building fellowship outside the classroom through events, worship, groups, and service. For distance-learning students, we intentionally provide these activities when you are on campus, so you don’t miss out. No matter where you’re from, you’ll benefit from a close-knit environment that encourages participation in a vibrant campus community. The relationships you’ll develop will continue well after Seminary is over; your classmates and professors will be your friends, supporters, encouragers, and prayer warriors through your years of ministry service.

Located on the same campus as the undergraduate and graduate programs of North Park University, the Seminary is able to offer many unique resources and advantages. Our urban setting in one of the most diverse zip codes in the country allows you to serve and learn from the dynamic community around us, and we engage the city in ways that enrich the life of the whole campus.
