Purpose

BootCamp is designed to assist new nonprofit leaders determine what should be on their radar screens as they assume a new leadership role. Targeted to nonprofit leaders (at the CEO or executive-director level only) who have been in their role for three years or less, this experience will help accelerate learning

Program

Each session combines theory with best practices in the field to give you what you need to know to get up to speed fast. Through case studies, lectures, and small group discussions, you will explore issues which are critical to leadership in the nonprofit context. You will identify the most essential principles and questions that you need to consider for your specific organizational context. A team of highly experienced leaders will lead sessions in the focus areas of mission, board governance, leadership style and capabilities, strategic management, financial management and planning, resource development, and legal and ethical issues.

What's more, you'll have access to experienced faculty leaders and peers with whom you will interact and from who you will learn. You will make important life-long contacts who will provide the encouragement and empathy you need to succeed. Our seasoned professionals know how hard it is retain information from a three-day seminar. To ensure what you learn doesn't stop when class ends, we've created a 90-day action plan aimed at focusing your energies to get results.
