North Park is proud to partner with Divvy to offer students a discounted annual membership to Chicago’s bike-share service. Our students are eligible to sign up for an annual membership at $55 per year (regularly $75), covering unlimited 30-minute rides.
You may have seen the blue Divvy bikes all around the city, and now they’re on our front porch, as well, a conveniently located Divvy station is at the corner of Foster and Kedzie avenues. Divvy is perfect for short trips from campus to the train station, to run errands, or just to get out and explore the neighborhood and city. A Student Annual Membership means you’ll have access to thousands of bikes at hundreds of stations across the city, 24/7.
How do I sign up?
- Visit www.DivvyBikes.com/signup/northpark
- Set up an account using your @northpark.edu email address (you must use this address to be granted the student membership)
- Make sure “North Park University” is selected for your Membership Plan, and use the password CycleNorthPark
- Once the signup process is complete, you’ll receive an email confirmation and your membership key in the mail in 5–9 days
Where can I ride?
There are hundreds of stations across Chicago: www.divvybikes.com/stations
You’ll have access to the entire fleet and can take a bike from any station across the city to get from Point A to Point B. The first 30 minutes of every trip you take are included in the cost of membership, and incremental fees apply for any trip that exceeds 30 minutes.
Am I eligible? (and other FAQs)
Any undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at an eligible university may receive the Divvy Student Membership Discount. Faculty and staff are not eligible for the Student Membership Discount.
No, you can only apply one discount to your Divvy Membership.
Yes, but you must initially sign up for your membership using your university email address to verify your eligibility. Once you complete the sign up process, you can log in to your account and change your email preferences to the address you prefer.
The only difference is that Student Membership is just $55, which is 25% off the regular price of $75. You still have access to the entire fleet, at all stations across the city, 24/7, all year long. No, the Divvy Student Annual Membership is only available for new or renewing Annual Members. When your account is up for renewal, you can renew at the discounted rate.
You’ll need to log in to your online account and renew normally. Then, send an email to support@divvybikes.com with your school name and password. We’ll refund you to match the discounted rate and get your Membership transferred to the Student Annual Membership.
